Terms and Conditions of Hire

The right to use the facility is subject to the Centre receiving an application form signed by the hirer agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Security Bond fees to be paid on confirmation of booking.
Bond fees are security against damage to the buildings, fittings, furniture and cleaning.
The Hirer will be liable to pay any excess of bond to meet the costs of such damage or cleaning.
Hire fees to be paid 21 days prior to event

Cancellation of booking

Cancellation shall be made at least 14 days prior to the event.
Any cancellation within the 14 days prior to the event or no show will result in a non refundable bond

Use of facility

Hirers shall not assign the right to use the facility to any organisation, person or group

Fire Safety

The Hirer is responsible for the safety of Guests attending their hired event.
The Hirer must read the facility Emergency Evacuation Plan, have knowledge of fire exits and fire safety equipment

Safety

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to provide First Aid equipment
The use of any flammable material or naked flame is prohibited within the facility. This includes sparklers, candles, incense and insect coils.

Permission to occupy

The Hirer is entitled to use the part of the facility they have hired only.
Other facilities in parts of the building may be occupied by hirers at the same time.

Smoking

As per Queensland Government regulations, smoking is not permitted within buildings, within 5 metres of any building entrance, within 10 metres of children’s outdoor playground equipment, or in outdoor eating or drinking areas. This law aims to protect people from the dangers of second-hand smoke. The smoking ban includes the use of all smoking products, including electronic cigarettes.
